Go Bananas
One of most interesting things you might find here is growing right in my own back yard. To give that island feeling to our pool area I wanted a tropical landscape to the enhance our backyard. I first planted a few tropical flowers, hung a few ferns and potted a couple small palms just to hide a brick wall. I found a small 10 inch pot of Musa Basjoo for $16 and decided to give it a try. Seems 18 ft banana trees can grow in Monroeville PA and they have become quite a spectical and now dominate the landscape.
